Designed for a young family of four, the home balances old-world character and elevated materials with the warmth and livability of everyday family life. We transformed the kitchen, bathrooms, and living spaces with architectural beams, Saltillo and wood flooring, handmade zellige tile, a zellige mosaic primary shower floor, unlacquered brass fixtures sourced from Morocco, and a softly feminine pink bathroom designed for the couple’s two young daughters. Richly veined Calacatta Viola marble brings drama to the kitchen and butler’s pantry, while every material throughout the home was chosen to create warmth, depth, and a sense of history. The result feels collected rather than newly constructed—soulful, timeless, and unmistakably Spanish.

Full-service interior design and whole-home renovation, including kitchen and bathroom design, architectural detailing, material and finish selections, custom cabinetry direction, lighting and plumbing selections, flooring, stone and tile specification, specialty sourcing, and the design of two large custom primary closets. Beckon oversaw the design vision throughout the home, from the addition of architectural beams and Saltillo flooring to handmade zellige, Calacatta Viola marble, wood flooring, and unlacquered brass fixtures sourced from Morocco.

A once-dated 1990s home was transformed into a warm, transportive Spanish-inspired retreat that feels as though it has evolved over generations rather than been newly renovated. The entire home was completed from start to finish in just five months—and on budget. Every space was considered, from the dramatic kitchen and bathrooms to two fully custom primary closets designed to bring beauty and function to everyday living. Rich natural materials, handmade finishes, architectural character, and moments of unexpected color give the home a sense of history and soul, while thoughtful updates make it beautifully suited to the young family who lives there. The finished home is elevated without feeling precious—timeless, deeply personal, and reminiscent of a villa discovered somewhere in Spain.
